Namuya Sorel
Commoner
Namuya Sorel
Species
Half-elf
Appearance
Namuya is a lean half-elf woman whose body has the wiry, economical strength of someone who has crossed too much open desert carrying too much water. Her copper-brown skin is roughened by wind and sun, with pale scars crossing her left forearm like faded river maps. Her movements are quiet and deliberate, never hurried, yet she can cross a sickroom in an instant when someone begins to convulse. Her ears are slightly pointed and pierced with tiny clay beads, while one front tooth is capped in dull silver. She gives the impression of warmth held carefully behind discipline. The unexpected contradiction is her hands: broad, callused, and visibly strong enough to drag a wounded man from a collapsed shelter, but astonishingly gentle when touching a child's fevered brow.
“Her voice is low, warm, and slightly husky from years of breathing dust. She speaks in short, exact sentences during emergencies and uses soft repetition when comforting children.”

Distinguishing Features
A silver-capped front tooth that flashes when she smiles.
Pale scar lines across her left forearm resembling a dry river delta.
Clay beads pierced through the edges of both pointed ears.
A small patch of green moss growing in a sealed glass bead at her throat.
The habit of smelling every cup of water before drinking, even when she watched it being drawn.
Voice
“A calm contralto with a dry, reassuring warmth, as if every sentence has already survived a sandstorm”
Clothing
Layered sun-faded wraps of patched linen and woven reed fiber, a sleeveless brown vest, a broad scarf wrapped around her neck, soft desert boots, and a pale headcloth pinned with a bone needle. Her clothing is practical rather than decorative, but every hem contains tiny stitched marks recording medicine recipes and water measurements.
Body Language
Namuya keeps her shoulders slightly forward against the imagined wind and rests one thumb against the first knuckle of her opposite hand while thinking. She rarely points. Instead, she tilts her chin or places an object exactly where she wants it. When angry, she becomes motionless. When frightened, she starts counting under her breath.
