Appearance
Sabetto Vharrend is a lean Chelaxian man with the composed physicality of someone who has spent years making other people wait. His skin is warm brown with a faint copper cast, and his black hair is worn close at the sides and brushed back from a high, clean forehead. His jaw is narrow but unusually strong, giving his smile a mild predatory quality. When he laughs, he shows a small gap between his upper front teeth, not enough to seem damaged, only enough to make the expression unexpectedly boyish. He moves with economical grace, never quite hurrying, and turns his whole body toward whoever speaks as though granting them a private audience. The contradiction is that his elegant hands are rough at the knuckles and permanently darkened beneath the nails by ink, rope tar, and old counting-house dust. Within a minute of meeting him, most people notice both the gap in his teeth and the tiny brass abacus bead he rolls beneath his tongue when thinking.
“His voice is low, smooth, and lightly breathy, with careful sibilants that make every sentence sound confidential. His Chelaxian diction is polished but not theatrical.”

Distinguishing Features
A small gap between his upper front teeth becomes visible whenever he smiles or laughs.
He constantly rolls a single brass abacus bead beneath his tongue while thinking, producing a faint click against his teeth.

His hands are ink-stained and rough despite his immaculate clothing.
He carries himself like a courtier but watches doors, windows, and serving trays like a dockside survivor.
Voice
“Low, smooth, breathy, and intimate, with crisp sibilants and a faint coastal Chelaxian cadence. His laugh is brief and surprisingly youthful because of the small gap between his front teeth.”
Clothing
A well-cut charcoal coat lined in muted sea green, a high-collared ivory shirt, wine-red waistcoat, soft black trousers, and polished ankle boots suited to wet cobbles. He wears a plain brass signet ring from his mother's family, not House Vharrend, and a narrow leather wrist-cuff whose inner edge is worn pale from constant rubbing. A sealed folio case hangs beneath his coat. His clothing is expensive but never ostentatious, chosen to look reliable beside dockmasters and respectable beside magistrates.
Body Language
Sabetto sits angled toward the exit but keeps both hands visible. He touches his left cuff whenever someone lies, rolls the brass abacus bead beneath his tongue while calculating, and tilts his chin slightly when offering terms. During a refusal, he lowers his gaze for three heartbeats, as if placing the rejection carefully in a ledger. He never points at people. He points at objects, documents, and empty chairs.
