Namu Saran
Nascent Wayfarer Deity

Appearance
New deity 11 looks like a slight, warm-faced traveler who has just stepped out of rain. Her movements are quiet and economical, with each foot placed as though she is testing whether the world is solid. Her smile reveals broad, pearly teeth with unusually flat edges, more suited to grinding seeds than tearing meat, and she chews with an absentminded patience that makes observers strangely self-conscious. She smells faintly of wet cedar, steamed rice, and extinguished candle smoke, an odor she insists is simply how divine air smells. Her most contradictory feature is her hands: delicate, soft, and almost childlike, yet capable of leaving shallow glowing fingerprints on stone, metal, and skin.
“Soft and rounded, with careful pauses. Her voice carries a gentle Turkic and Mongolic cadence in its rhythm, though her vocabulary is plain and local.”

Distinguishing Features
Her broad, smooth teeth show prominently whenever she eats, laughs, or speaks with genuine delight.
Her fingertips leave a brief golden print on objects she touches with intent.
She carries the scent of wet cedar, steamed rice, and extinguished candle smoke.
She never wears shoes, even on ice, gravel, or broken glass.
Small flecks of gold appear beneath her skin around the knuckles when she is emotionally overwhelmed.
Voice
“A low, soothing contralto with a faint second resonance beneath it. When she whispers a name, the sound seems to come from just behind the listener.”
Clothing
A moss-green traveling coat patched with scraps of banners, prayer flags, and old map cloth. Beneath it she wears a cream tunic, loose charcoal trousers, and soft red wool socks without shoes. A copper clasp shaped like a closed door holds the coat at her throat.
Body Language
She keeps her shoulders slightly forward as if walking into wind, cups her hands around empty objects, and turns her head toward departing footsteps even during conversations. When angry, she stops moving entirely. When pleased, she rocks once on her heels and shows all of her unusually broad teeth.
