Giorgi Veyrava
Bard, College of Lore
Giorgi Veyrava
Species
Rock Gnome
Appearance
A compact gnome with the dense, sturdy proportions of someone who has spent decades hauling casks rather than sitting behind a bar. His movements are quick but never hurried, each turn of his shoulder and tilt of his head measured like a practiced dance. His face is broad, weathered, and unexpectedly severe until he smiles, at which point two gold-capped incisors make him look almost mischievous. His hands are scarred, nimble, and permanently stained with saffron, lampblack, and berry juice. He smells faintly of cedar smoke, crushed mint, and old rain. The contradictory impression he leaves is that of a cheerful innkeeper who looks most at home when silently judging a battlefield.
“His voice is low, musical, and slightly rasped, with rounded vowels and a rolling rhythm that makes ordinary remarks sound like remembered proverbs. He speaks quickly when entertaining a room, slowly when asking for the truth, and almost whispers when making a threat.”

Distinguishing Features
Two gold-capped front teeth engraved with tiny musical notes.
A white scar crossing the bridge of his nose, caused by a falling stage beam during the Ashen Pass Riot.
A left ankle that clicks audibly when he turns sharply.
A blue wool sash containing a broken child-sized brass compass.
When he casts a spell, the nearest glass or bottle hums in harmony with his voice.
Voice
“A warm baritone with a smoky edge, carrying the cadence of a mountain ballad and the patient menace of someone who has already imagined six ways to remove a troublesome guest.”
Clothing
A dark russet waistcoat over a cream linen shirt, a heavy green apron sewn with geometric mountain patterns, polished ankle boots, and a blue wool sash containing hidden pockets. His silver ear hoops are mismatched, one shaped like a key and one like a crescent cup.
Body Language
Giorgi leans forward when listening, as if weighing a person's words in his palm. He polishes a glass whenever he is lying, drums two fingers against his apron when frightened, and becomes completely still when genuinely angry. In combat, he moves in short, low steps, circling tables and doorways as though the room itself were part of his instrument.
