Saphene Adeyash
Druid, Circle of the Moon
Saphene Adeyash
Species
Eladrin
Appearance
Saphene is tall and narrow-shouldered, with the elegant proportions of an eladrin who has spent more time climbing observatory stairs than attending court. Her skin has the matte texture of pale olive bark after rain, and tiny flecks of silver appear beneath it whenever she is excited. Her hair is dark brown at the roots and fades into a smoky blue-gray at the ends, worn in dozens of thin, carefully separated braids that click softly against one another like beads. She moves with unnerving economy, never turning her head when her eyes can move instead. In any room, her attention goes first to ceilings, windows, cracks, and empty patches of air. The unexpected contradiction is that she dresses like a severe astronomer but smells faintly of crushed mint, damp soil, and warm bread.
“Her voice is low, breathy, and carefully measured, with soft sibilants that make ordinary observations sound like secrets. When excited, her speech accelerates into precise, musical fragments.”

Distinguishing Features
Her braids contain tiny dried leaves that remain green regardless of season.
Silver freckles beneath her skin rearrange themselves into different star patterns when she casts high-level magic.
She has an immaculate left hand and a permanently ink-stained right hand, as though one belongs to a court scholar and the other to a reckless apprentice.
Her shadow sometimes points toward the nearest planar disturbance instead of matching the direction of the light.
She never looks at the moon directly, claiming that it has begun looking back.
Voice
“A soft, papery alto with a warm Levantine cadence and occasional Yoruba-like musical rises at the ends of phrases. Her calmest words are often the most dangerous.”
Clothing
A high-collared coat of moss-green wool lined with stitched star charts, layered over soft gray robes and practical leather climbing trousers. Her sleeves are fastened with small ceramic buttons shaped like seed pods. She wears no jewelry except a brass astrolabe suspended from her belt and a red thread tied around her left wrist.
Body Language
Saphene keeps her hands folded behind her back when calm, but presses her thumbnails into her palms when suppressing excitement. She tilts her head toward invisible sounds, stands too close to maps and diagrams, and looks at people's shadows when deciding whether to trust them.
