Malika Orun
Cleric
Malika Orun
Species
Human
Appearance
Malika has smooth olive skin, a softly squared face, and bright hazel-brown eyes that seem to notice who has not eaten. Her wavy dark brown hair falls in loose natural layers around her cheeks and neck, with several shorter strands escaping beneath her hood. She moves with a relaxed, feminine grace, but never quite stands evenly. When waiting, she rests most of her weight on her left heel and keeps the ball of her right foot ready, as if expecting a road to tilt beneath her. Her hands are the most immediately memorable part of her: broad-palmed, warm, and roughened by years of grinding herbs, repairing harness, carrying water, and tending frightened animals. The contradiction is that her practical hands are decorated with tiny white henna-like lines that resemble constellations, drawn by children from the villages she serves.
“Her voice is warm and clear, with a dry roadside cadence. She speaks in short, practical sentences when working and unexpectedly poetic ones when discussing death, weather, or promises.”

Distinguishing Features
Rough, herb-stained hands decorated with tiny white constellation marks.
A hood lined with stitched scraps bearing the names of dead travelers.
A habit of standing with her weight on one heel, as though prepared for unstable ground.
A small brass sun-disc worn smooth at the center from constant touching.
A faint smell of crushed mint, lamp oil, and dust follows her.
Voice
“A low, gentle contralto with a practical rhythm, softened by occasional dry humor. When giving instructions during danger, her voice becomes startlingly crisp and carries farther than her slight frame suggests.”
Clothing
Light sand-colored clerical robes layered over a practical gray traveling dress. Fine blue and rust embroidery traces the cuffs and hood, depicting lamps, mule bells, and tiny road markers. The hood covers most of her hair, and its inner lining is patched with mismatched scraps of cloth. She wears a leather belt with herb packets, a waterskin, and a plain iron mace. Her robes are carefully washed but visibly repaired.
Body Language
Malika keeps her shoulders loose and her chin level, giving the impression of calm even when she is exhausted. Her weight settles on her left heel while her right foot points toward the nearest path of retreat. She touches the brass edge of her holy symbol when lying, rubs her thumb across the calluses of her palm when angry, and leans forward with sudden warmth when someone speaks about a personal loss.
