Species

Wood Elf

Appearance

Elenor is an older wood elf botanist whose presence suggests both a kindly village healer and a patient, watchful predator. Her silver-streaked dark hair is pulled into a practical braid bound with dried reed fiber, and loose strands cling to her temples when the grotto grows humid. Her warm earth-toned eyes seem almost amber in lamplight, with tiny green flecks that make them resemble wet seeds. Her hands are narrow, weathered, and permanently stained beneath the nails by black loam, blue mold, and rust-colored sap. She moves with gentle, practiced grace, never wasting a gesture, yet there is something unexpectedly martial in the way she plants each foot and keeps one shoulder angled toward the nearest exit. Her quiet, nurturing appearance is contradicted by the old iron bite guard she wears over her left forearm, a relic from years spent defending the vaults against raiders.

Height5 feet 4 inches
BuildLean and sinewy, with the compact strength of someone accustomed to hauling water, climbing ravine walls, and working long hours in wet soil
EyesAmber-brown with green flecks, brightening faintly near healthy plants
HairDark brown with broad silver streaks, worn in a practical braid
SkinWarm umber with a muted olive undertone, weathered across the cheeks and knuckles by sun, wind, and years of subterranean work

Her voice is low, clear, and unhurried, with the careful cadence of someone cataloging fragile evidence. She rarely raises it.”

Distinguishing Features

A crescent-shaped scar across her left palm from the Ashwater Blight evacuation.

Tiny seed tattoos along two fingers, each marking a plant variety believed extinct elsewhere.

A brass irrigation key worn around her neck on braided river grass.

A faint scent of crushed mint, wet stone, and woodsmoke that clings to her clothing.

Her left forearm bears an old iron bite guard, incongruous beneath her gardener's smock.

Voice

A soft contralto with a dry, patient warmth, like water moving beneath packed earth

Clothing

A patched moss-green linen tunic beneath a durable canvas gardener's smock, reinforced trousers tucked into mud-dark leather boots, a faded copper Warden clasp, fingerless gloves, and a worn leather satchel overflowing with seed envelopes, pruning shears, twine, waxed labels, and small specimen bundles

Body Language

Elenor keeps her hands open and visible during conversation, frequently brushing soil from her palms even when none is present. When someone lies about land, labor, or provenance, her posture becomes perfectly still. In combat, her movements remain economical until an ally is threatened, at which point her calm turns into sudden, root-like certainty.
