Salkhiri Qhantir
Wizard, School of Abjuration
Salkhiri Qhantir
Species
High Elf
Appearance
Salkhiri is a slender young elf with the long-limbed grace of a dancer and the grounded balance of someone raised on steep mountain paths. Her pregnancy has softened the usual severity of her silhouette, giving her a visible, carefully guarded fullness beneath her layered robes. She moves with a slight favoring of her left hip, not from injury but from years of carrying a heavy spellbook chained there. Her hands are elegant and restless, constantly measuring invisible distances in the air. The unexpected contradiction is that her face appears almost delicate and scholarly, while her presence feels stubbornly immovable, like a cairn that has survived a century of avalanches. A braided copper cord circles her wrist, worn smooth and dark where her fingers worry it during moments of fear.
“Her speech is measured and exact, with a musical elven cadence interrupted by clipped dwarven terms. She rarely raises her volume.”

Distinguishing Features
A copper wrist cord worn smooth by constant handling, given to her by Bragni after their first night beneath the ice
A visible pregnancy guarded beneath a mountain-patterned sash
A narrow streak of naturally white hair above her right temple, a family trait associated with ward-mages of Qhantir Pass
Her steps are nearly silent, but the beads sewn into her sash click once whenever she turns sharply
Her eyes reflect points of pale blue light whenever she is concentrating on protective magic
Voice
“Low, clear, and controlled, with a soft rasp like wool dragged over rough stone. When speaking to Bragni or the unborn child, the rasp disappears and her voice becomes unexpectedly bright.”
Clothing
A slate-blue wool tunic beneath layered gray-green traveling robes, all fastened with copper pins rather than silver. A broad woven sash patterned with tiny stepped mountains supports her belly and hides a narrow spellbook sheath. Her boots are soft-soled for climbing stone, and the cuffs of her sleeves are visibly worn where she grips them before casting.
Body Language
Salkhiri keeps her shoulders square and her weight balanced over both feet, but her left hand often rests protectively beneath her stomach. When challenged, she tilts her head slightly downward and looks up through her lashes, a posture that makes her seem quiet until the air around her begins to frost.
