Taz wears his height like a stage prop, folding himself into doorways and leaning dramatically over tables as though every room were an audience. His round face is clean-shaven and usually bright with amusement, framed by short dark brown dreads whose ends have been wrapped in faded copper thread. His skin is deep umber with a warm red undertone, and his long fingers are constantly busy, counting invisible beats, rolling dice, or worrying the edge of his amulet. He favors his left side when standing still, but when excited he glides forward with quick, birdlike steps. His most memorable feature is the contradiction between his elegant, nimble hands and his travel-worn feet, which are broad, dusty, and usually half a pace ahead of the rest of him. He leaves people with the impression that he has already turned their lives into a story and is waiting to see whether they object.

Clothing
Travel-worn orange robes layered over a sleeveless charcoal tunic, cinched with a patched wine-red sash. The robe hems are stained with road dust and embroidered inside with tiny lines of old caravan poetry. He wears soft leather boots, brass rings on two fingers, and a narrow shoulder bag full of chalk, dice, ink, dried fruit, and folded letters.
Body Language
Taz leans toward people when they speak, even when he is pretending not to care. His hands sketch shapes in the air as he talks, and his shoulders sway as though following music no one else can hear. When genuinely angry, every gesture stops. He becomes perfectly still except for the thumb rubbing one polished patch on the underside of his amulet.
