Zhurak Sun-Broker
Species
Aethelgard Half-Dragon, Brass Draconic Ancestry
Appearance
Zhurak is a tall, narrow-shouldered half-dragon whose brass scales have dark copper ridges along the spine, elbows, and jaw. He moves with the careful economy of a man crossing a crowded countinghouse, never brushing against another body unless he intends to. His lower canines protrude slightly over his lip, giving his polite smile the suggestion of a threat, while his broad jaw works visibly whenever he chews, as though he is grinding every meal into a calculation. His scales gleam warmly in lamplight, but the palms of his hands are rough and gray from years of handling ore samples. He wears a fur-collared silk riding cloak over gilded chainmail and carries himself with the soft, almost weightless grace of a dancer. The contradiction is immediate: his voice and posture promise refinement, yet the thick brass claws on his boots leave small dents in wooden floors.
“His voice is low, breathy, and polished, with a soft hiss on s and sh sounds. He speaks as though every sentence has already been entered into a contract, stretching vowels when flattering someone and clipping them when naming a debt.”

Distinguishing Features
A polished brass balance hangs from his belt and never seems to tilt, even while he walks.
His lower canines overlap his upper lip, making every smile look half-friendly and half-predatory.
He leaves the faint scent of hot metal, orange peel, and expensive cedar wherever he has stood.
His brass scales darken toward the fingertips, as if permanently stained by furnace soot.
He uses a horn-handled cane whose silver ferrule conceals a narrow rapier blade.
Voice
“A warm, controlled baritone with a dry rasp beneath it, like silk dragged over a brass hinge”
Clothing
A fur-collared saffron silk riding cloak, gilded chainmail, black linen trousers, brass-clawed riding boots, fingerless gloves, and a belt carrying a polished horn-handled cane, a brass balance, sealed contracts, and tiny ore samples
Body Language
Zhurak occupies more space than his slender frame should allow. He angles his shoulders to make room before anyone asks, then watches to see who resents it. He taps his polished cane twice before naming a price, strokes the copper ridges beneath his jaw when considering betrayal, and smiles with his teeth whenever he has found leverage.
