Nikolai Savitch
Fighter (Eldritch Alchemist archetype - homebrew hybrid)
Nikolai Savitch
Species
Human
Appearance
A looming presence first felt before seen: Nikolai moves like a boulder that knows how to dodge trees. He favors broad, sweeping strides that somehow conceal quick footwork. His skin is weather-darkened and grainy where hands have worked leather and powder for decades; faint, silvered scars lace his forearms in patterns from spilled acids and a long gouge across his left cheek where a cavern shard once bit him. A full polar-bear pelt cloak drapes down to his calves, the head pulled back from his shoulders so the bear's glassy eyes stare over his own; beneath it his clothes are practical — fur-lined wool tunic, reinforced leather bracers, and an oil-stained leather apron whenever he's in his shop. His hair is dense, nearly coal-black, cropped short at the nape but allowed to fall long and wiry in front, often plastered to his forehead with sweat or alchemical residue. Up close his hands are surprising: large, callused, and nimble-fingered, with ink and soot permanently embedded at the nail beds. When he laughs — a booming, infectious sound — his whole face opens; when he concentrates, his jaw tightens until the scar across his cheek pulls pale and taught. Contradictory to his huskiness, his movements are compact and lithe in combat, and he often tilts his head like a curious animal right before striking.
“Loud and warm tones in public with rough northern vowels; becomes clipped and precise when plotting. Uses folksy metaphors when recruiting ('There's more honey in a hive than in a single bloom') and switches to quiet, breathy cadences when seducing with promises of power.”
