Appearance
A slim, wiry young woman with warm umber skin weathered by open roads and hard work. Her sun-browned nose and forearms carry the dry texture of someone who spends more time outdoors than under a roof. Pale rope-burn marks circle both forearms, old and clean, while her deep brown eyes are flecked with amber and seem to measure every exit in a room. Uneven shoulder-length dark-brown hair has been hacked bluntly with a knife, except for one stubborn longer lock that keeps falling across her cheek. She moves with a lowered, economical posture, never quite relaxing her shoulders. The unexpected element is her restrained half-smile, which appears most readily when she is frightened or angry, making her seem kinder and more dangerous at the same time.
“Low, clipped, and plainly spoken, with a dry warmth that appears in sudden flashes. She rarely raises her voice.”

Distinguishing Features
Pale rope-burn rings around both forearms.
One longer lock of dark hair perpetually falling across her cheek.
A faded red scarf tied around her wrist rather than worn around her neck.
A shield bearing a faded white road-marker emblem reinforced with uneven iron bands.
A restrained half-smile that appears when she is under the most pressure.
Voice
“A low contralto with a rough edge from cold air, camp smoke, and years of calling warnings across roads. Her laugh is brief, surprised, and usually followed by a glance toward the nearest exit.”
Clothing
A patched blue-gray tunic over glinting chain mail, reinforced mismatched leather trousers, one worn boot and one newer boot, and a faded red scarf tied around her wrist. A tiny brass road-marker charm peeks from her sleeve. Her shield is strapped for quick access rather than display.
Body Language
She keeps her shield close to her ribs rather than presenting it outward, as if protecting something behind it. Her weight remains balanced over the balls of her feet, and her thumb repeatedly rubs the edge of the brass road-marker charm hidden at her wrist. When she lies, she becomes perfectly still.
