Master Torren Ash-Forged
Artificer (Battle Smith) 13 / Wizard (Divination) 4
Master Torren Ash-Forged
Species
White Dragonborn
Appearance
Master Torren Ash-Forged is a tall white dragonborn with a narrow, wedge-shaped head and pale scales permanently darkened by iron soot. Fine reddish-brown mineral dust clings to the ridges of his forearms like old dried blood. His left eye is magnified behind a jeweler's monocle, while his right eye remains unnervingly clear and ice-blue. Mechanical articulating fingers replace his right thumb and index finger, clicking softly whenever he becomes agitated. He moves with the economical precision of a machine, never wasting a step, yet his long tail drags unpredictably through ash when he is exhausted. His breath smells of snow and hot metal. The unexpected contradiction is that his hands are scarred, blackened, and brutally practical, while his face has the delicate, almost scholarly beauty of a carved alabaster saint.
“His voice is low, dry, and measured, with a faint metallic rasp. He speaks in short technical clauses and pauses whenever a vision approaches.”

Soot-blackened scale ridges and reddish mineral dust embedded in the skin of his forearms.

Voice
“Low, dry, measured, and metallic, becoming abruptly whisper-soft when he speaks to the Singing Ingot.”
Clothing
A heavy heat-resistant leather smithing apron covers reinforced scale mail. The apron is stitched with silver warding wire, packed with tool loops, and burned nearly black at the hem. He wears a soot-stained blue mantle, insulated gloves with exposed claw tips, a jeweler's monocle strapped over his left eye, and a belt holding vials of coolant and powdered obsidian.
Body Language
Torren keeps his shoulders squared and his head slightly lowered, as though listening to an invisible furnace. His mechanical fingers tap patterns against his forearm when thinking. When frightened, he becomes perfectly still rather than retreating. When angry, his nostrils vent thin streams of white vapor.
