Appearance
Tovan Kesh is a short, angular goblin whose narrow shoulders and long elbows give him the silhouette of a folded pocketknife. His green-brown skin has a dry, papery texture across the knuckles and forehead, while the softer skin beneath his jaw is almost plum-colored. Copper spectacles perch on the end of his long nose, their lenses scratched into a permanent constellation of tiny stars. He is missing his front tooth, which makes every smile look conspiratorial even when he is being sincere. He moves with quick, economical steps, always turning his body sideways as if slipping between shelves that are not there. Despite his small frame, he occupies surprising space in a room by spreading maps across every available surface and leaning into conversations without realizing how close he has come. The unexpected contradiction is that his hands, built for hurried theft and delicate forgery, are extraordinarily gentle with paper, turning pages as though they might bruise.

Body Language
Tovan leans forward while listening, spectacles sliding toward the tip of his nose, then retreats several inches whenever someone raises their voice. His fingers constantly smooth invisible creases from his sleeves. When lying, he stands perfectly still, which is unusual enough for regular customers to notice.
