Kett Greb
Species
Human
Appearance
Kett Greb is a compact, weathered human with a presence that feels more precise than imposing. His hands are broad at the knuckles and permanently stained amber from turmeric, iodine, and powdered saffron, while the pads of his fingers are polished smooth by decades of grinding herbs. He moves with the quick, economical balance of someone carrying full bottles through a crowded room, never wasting a step and never quite turning his back on an open flame. His face is narrow and thoughtful, framed by hair that has gone iron-gray at the temples. The unexpected thing about him is his immaculate smile: bright, gentle, and almost theatrical, even when he is discussing gangrene or quietly threatening to poison a nobleman's entire household. He leaves an impression of warmth wrapped around an alarmingly well-organized mind.
“Kett speaks in a soft, brisk voice, with crisp enunciation and a dry rhythm. He rarely raises his volume.”

Distinguishing Features
His amber-stained hands contrast sharply with his carefully scrubbed fingernails.
He smiles warmly while saying deeply unsettling things about anatomy.
His apron pocket is lined with blue silk and contains a tiny silver spoon that belonged to Vey.
He walks with a soft heel-first step that makes him seem to glide between shelves.
Voice
“A low, soothing baritone with a faint rasp, like velvet dragged over a wooden tabletop”
Clothing
He wears a faded plum waistcoat over a cream linen shirt, both repaired with careful green thread. His trousers are too large at the waist and secured by a belt crowded with tiny labeled pouches. A waxed leather apron hangs to his knees, glossy from constant cleaning, with one deep pocket lined in blue silk that he polishes obsessively.
Body Language
Kett leans slightly forward when listening, holding his hands open and low. When suspicious, he begins arranging nearby objects into perfectly parallel rows. When angry, he smiles more broadly and stops blinking.
