Nadim Ocelot
Rogue, Assassin
Nadim Ocelot
Species
Tiefling
Appearance
Sylas is a lean, red-brown tiefling with a soft, almost gentle face that sharply contradicts the patience of his work. His horns curve backward in smooth, low ridges, polished by years of brushing against roof tiles and narrow chimneys. He moves with a peculiar asymmetry, placing his left foot carefully and letting the rest of his body drift after it like a cautious dancer crossing thin ice. Within a minute of meeting him, most people notice the small ceramic bead sewn into the end of his tail. It clicks faintly against his boot whenever he changes direction. His hands are steady enough to thread a needle while falling, yet he constantly flexes the fingers of his right hand as though counting invisible strings.
“His speech is quiet, rounded, and carefully paced, with soft consonants and occasional words borrowed from old Namarri street cant. He rarely raises his voice.”

Distinguishing Features
A ceramic bead sewn into the end of his tail clicks softly against his boot.
His horns are unusually smooth and polished from repeated contact with stone and roof tiles.
He favors his left leg while standing but launches and pivots from his right.
His fingertips are permanently stained blue from years of handling dye and poison compounds.
He smiles warmly at children and looks mildly embarrassed whenever anyone notices.
Voice
“A low, warm voice with a faint rasp, like silk drawn across unfinished wood. He speaks softly enough that listeners lean toward him, then regret giving him their full attention.”
Clothing
A smoke-blue hooded coat fitted close at the arms, layered over a padded vest of dark quilted leather. His trousers are wrapped at the calves for silent movement, and his boots have soft soles reinforced with thin strips of brass. The coat's inner lining is a faded saffron color, visible only when he turns quickly. A tiny ceramic bead is sewn into the end of his tail, its surface worn smooth except where it is chipped against his left boot.
Body Language
Sylas keeps his shoulders relaxed and his chin slightly lowered, giving the impression of polite attention. He favors his left side when standing still, but pivots sharply from the right when threatened. He rarely makes broad gestures. Instead, his tail, fingers, and eyes perform small calculations around him. When angry, he becomes unnervingly motionless.
