Xylia Oloran
Sorcerer
Xylia Oloran
Species
Drow
Appearance
Xylia has the poised, tensile beauty of a drawn bow, but she never quite stands as if she intends to fire. She waits with one heel lifted and her weight balanced on the balls of her feet, rocking almost imperceptibly as though listening to distant music beneath the floor. Her movements are fluid and economical until anger catches her, when every gesture becomes abruptly precise. Fine silver freckles gather along her collarbones in a pattern resembling spilled salt, brightening whenever she spends sorcery points. Her face is smooth and composed, yet her hands are perpetually ink-stained from copying old spell diagrams. The unexpected contradiction is that her intimidating stillness is paired with an almost domestic habit of mending other people's torn clothing without asking.
“Her voice is low, clear, and carefully paced, with soft sibilants and a musical rise at the end of warnings. She speaks Common with deliberate precision, but her Undercommon becomes faster, warmer, and more expressive.”

Distinguishing Features
Silver freckles along her collarbones glow faintly when she uses sorcery.
She waits with one heel raised, as if ready to pivot into a sprint.
Her fingers are permanently stained with blue-black ink from copied spell diagrams.
She wears her missing brother's brilliant red silk sash despite otherwise preferring muted clothing.
She instinctively straightens objects into lines whenever she is concealing anxiety.
Voice
“A low contralto with a calm, resonant quality. When she spends sorcery points, a second whisper briefly echoes the last word of each sentence, as if someone far away is trying to answer her.”
Clothing
A charcoal-gray traveling coat cut short at the knees, layered over a sleeveless violet tunic and fitted trousers. Thin copper chains hold spell components at her waist. Her boots are soft-soled and dusted with pale Underdark mineral powder. A red silk sash, absurdly bright against the rest of her clothing, belonged to her missing brother.
Body Language
Xylia leans slightly forward when interested, keeps her hands open when negotiating, and turns her chin toward sounds rather than her eyes. While waiting, she balances on one foot and traces tiny spell sigils against her thigh with a fingertip.
