Sahrash Tsiklauri
Fighter, Battle Master
Sahrash Tsiklauri
Species
Leonin
Appearance
Sahrash is a tall, broad-shouldered leonin who carries himself like a ceremonial statue until he moves, at which point his size becomes startlingly graceful. His tawny skin is marked with faint, pale bands along the forearms and jaw, like old brushstrokes beneath the fur. His mane is magnificent, thick, and swept backward into a carefully maintained crest, with several strands bound in dull yellow thread. His handsome face has a heavy brow, a square muzzle, and a solemn mouth that often appears on the edge of a smile but rarely reaches it. His steel armor is fitted with yellowed brass plates and engraved with stylized leonin faces, each one scratched from years of polishing and repair. The contradictory detail is his immaculate armor paired with visibly dusty paws and a slightly crooked left greave that he refuses to replace because it belonged to his younger sister. Despite the armor's weight, he walks quietly, placing each foot with the care of someone crossing a sleeping animal's den.
“Low, resonant, and deliberate, with breathy sibilants that soften the edges of his formal speech. He pauses before important answers and pronounces names carefully, as though each one were a promise.”

Distinguishing Features
A mane swept into a high crest and bound with several strands of dull yellow thread
A slightly crooked left greave that is polished obsessively despite its poor fit
A white dragon emblem spanning both the red and black halves of his surcoat
A frayed yellow cord around his right wrist, rubbed smooth by constant handling
A habit of smiling warmly at frightened strangers while keeping an expression of cold stone for officers
Voice
“A deep baritone with a dry rasp beneath it, like wind passing over stone. His laughter is rare but startlingly warm, arriving in one short burst before he tries to hide it.”
Clothing
A full suit of steel plate reinforced with yellow brass at the shoulders, knees, elbows, and breastplate, all etched with stylized leonin faces. Over it he wears a surcoat divided vertically into red and black halves, bearing a white dragon with its wings spread across both colors. The cloth is sun-faded at the hem and repaired with careful stitches of red silk on the black side. He wears steel gauntlets, steel greaves, a plain iron belt, and a narrow yellow cord tied around his right wrist. The cord is frayed where he repeatedly rubs it between thumb and claw.
Body Language
When relaxed, Sahrash rests one gauntleted hand on the pommel of his greatsword and angles his body so smaller people do not have to crane their necks. When suspicious, his mane lifts subtly along the shoulders and his tail becomes perfectly still. He kneels rather than bends when speaking to children. In battle, he lowers his head just before attacking, making his mane flare around his face like a dark-gold crown.
