Naramor Qadirun
Fighter, Battle Master-inspired veteran
Naramor Qadirun
Species
Half-Orc
Appearance
Naramor is a broad-shouldered half-orc with the dense, grounded presence of someone built for hauling anchors rather than charging across battlefields. His olive-gray skin has a fine, almost stone-like texture across the knuckles and forearms, while the rest of him is carefully groomed and oiled. His lower tusks are filed smooth and capped with tiny brass rings, not for intimidation but because he dislikes the sound they make against a cup. He keeps his dark hair in a long, meticulously braided queue threaded with faded blue cord. In motion, he is unexpectedly quiet, placing each foot with the care of a dancer and turning his head before his eyes, as though giving the room formal notice before looking at anyone. The contradiction is striking: he looks like a siege engine, yet moves with almost fussy delicacy. Within a minute of meeting him, people notice that he never looks first at a person's face. He studies their hands, belts, boots, and exits before granting them eye contact.
“Low, deliberate, and unusually precise. His Common carries the clipped rhythm of river-country trade speech, while his Orc becomes rapid and rasping when he is frightened or furious.”

Distinguishing Features
Brass rings cap his smoothly filed lower tusks.
His dark hair is kept in one long braid threaded with faded blue cord and tiny cargo beads.
He smells faintly of cedar oil, river mud, and iron polish.
His left thumb bears a permanent pale band where a signet ring was removed years ago.
He examines hands and exits before faces, making every first meeting feel like a quiet security inspection.
Voice
“A deep baritone with a soft rasp at the edges, like a stone dragged slowly across a whetstone. He becomes quieter when angry, forcing listeners to lean toward him.”
Clothing
A charcoal quilted coat beneath a fitted coat of riveted steel scales, wrapped at the waist with a blue sash marked by old tide stains. His boots are soft-soled and carefully repaired. He wears a plain bronze torque, a weatherproof gray cloak, and a red thread bracelet made by a child he once escorted through a war zone.
Body Language
He stands with his weight evenly distributed and his hands visible, even when armed. He tilts his head slightly when listening, keeps his shoulders relaxed during threats, and touches the brass ring on his left tusk whenever he is tempted to lose his temper. In anger, he becomes still rather than larger.
