Appearance
Vek is a long-limbed, weathered man with the loose posture of someone who has spent half his life leaning against tavern walls and the other half dodging assassins. His face is deeply lined, but his grin is boyish and lopsided. His silver hair hangs to his shoulders in a frizzed mane, usually tied back with a red bootlace. He moves slowly until danger appears, then becomes startlingly quick, sliding sideways like a dancer avoiding a puddle. His hands are stained with ink, tobacco, and faint blue burns from experimental magic. The unexpected contradiction is that his shabby, rumpled appearance conceals immaculate posture whenever he addresses the poor, the grieving, or anyone who has been cheated by a noble.
“His voice is warm, gravelly, and theatrical, with a provincial accent softened by decades of travel. He speaks as if every sentence is being delivered to a room full of friends.”

Distinguishing Features
A crescent-shaped burn scar runs from his left temple to the corner of his mouth.
His left thumbnail is permanently stained violet by the star fragment.
He wears a silver earring containing a tiny moving image of a road beneath a red moon.
His shadow occasionally raises its hand before he does.
He smells faintly of cedar smoke, old paper, and orange peel.
Voice
“A smoky baritone with a laugh that arrives half a second before the joke. He sounds like a road-weary professor who has spent too long in loud taverns and learned to project over bad music.”
Clothing
A faded plum velvet coat with one repaired elbow, a cream shirt open at the throat, wide charcoal trousers, polished riding boots, a red silk scarf, several mismatched rings, and a battered felt hat decorated with old theater tickets. His clothes look borrowed from a vanished decade, yet every item is enchanted for comfort, concealment, or dramatic timing.
Body Language
Vek lounges as if gravity is a personal inconvenience, with one shoulder lowered and his cane hooked over an elbow. He drums his fingers in irregular rhythms when thinking. During serious moments, his loose posture vanishes and he stands perfectly still, eyes fixed on the speaker with unnerving attention.
