Gethrin Okwaro
Fighter
Gethrin Okwaro
Species
Half-Orc
Appearance
Gethrin is a towering half-orc man with a black mohawk shaved close at the sides and purple eyes that seem almost luminous in candlelight. He stands six feet five inches tall and moves with the quick, economical balance of someone accustomed to fighting on rooftops, ship decks, and collapsing bridges. His skin is deep olive-gray with a faint green undertone, textured across the shoulders and forearms like weathered river stone. His hands are broad and callused, but he keeps his fingernails meticulously clean. At first glance, he appears built for intimidation. Within a minute, however, people notice that his eyes rarely settle on the person speaking. They track exits, loose floorboards, reflections in glass, and the hands of everyone nearby. The unexpected contradiction is his careful gentleness with fragile things. He handles teacups, insects, and newborn animals with the delicacy of a jeweler.
“His speech is low, measured, and unexpectedly formal for a caravan guard. He occasionally drops in Welsh- and Yoruba-influenced rhythms without making either language his entire identity.”

Distinguishing Features
A tall black mohawk that is combed with almost ceremonial precision.
Unusually vivid purple eyes that keep moving around a room instead of meeting a speaker's gaze.
A spotless purple silk scarf tied around his wrist, inherited from his deceased father.
Brass-plated boots that make a faint clicking rhythm when he walks.
A habit of smiling warmly while positioning himself between vulnerable people and danger.
Voice
“A deep baritone with a rough edge, like a large stone dragged across a wooden floor. When speaking to frightened people, he softens until the voice becomes almost soothing. When he is truly angry, his volume drops to a near whisper.”
Clothing
He wears a sleeveless charcoal coat over a dark wine-colored shirt, both repaired so often that the patches form a subtle map of his travels. His trousers are tailored too short at the ankle, revealing wrapped leather guards. One immaculate purple silk scarf is tied around his left wrist, far finer than anything else he owns. His boots are reinforced with brass plates that click faintly on stone.
Body Language
Gethrin stands very still when listening, with his shoulders relaxed and his chin slightly lowered. His right thumb repeatedly rubs the worn brass ring on his left index finger. When amused, he tilts his head as if testing whether the joke is structurally sound. When threatened, his weight shifts onto the balls of his feet and his gaze drops to the opponent's hips.
