Appearance
Brannik Dregg is a compact, broad-shouldered dwarf with the weathered hands of a quarry worker and the distracted posture of a scholar who has forgotten he is standing. His skin is roughened by years of limestone dust, with pale mineral flecks permanently embedded around his knuckles and in the creases beside his nose. His beard is dense and russet, braided into three uneven cords tied with scraps of blue surveyor's ribbon. He moves with a sideways, deliberate shuffle, always seeming to avoid stones that nobody else can see. The unexpected thing about him is his delicacy: despite his heavy build and blunt hands, he handles paper, glass, and frightened animals with almost ceremonial tenderness.
