Savares Daryan
Warlock, The Fiend patron
Savares Daryan
Species
Tiefling
Appearance
A tall, elegant tiefling man with deep umber-red skin, long swept-back horns, and a narrow face softened by an unexpectedly gentle mouth. He moves with the careful economy of someone accustomed to crowded streets, turning sideways before other people realize he is passing. His horns are polished near the tips but retain a faint chalky texture at their bases. A small brass reliquary hangs at his throat, its chain worn nearly white where his fingers repeatedly rub it. He smiles readily when speaking to strangers, yet his gaze becomes unnervingly still whenever someone mentions family. The contradictory impression is of a dangerous occultist who looks most at home mending a child's broken toy.
“His voice is low, measured, and unexpectedly soothing, with a faint river-district accent. He speaks quickly when excited and painfully slowly when concealing something.”

Distinguishing Features
A brass reliquary hangs at his throat, and its underside is worn smooth from constant touching.
His horns are dusted with fine silver powder used by the Lantern Archive to mark safe doors.
A thin black line appears across his palm whenever his patron sends him a written command.
He has a soft, almost musical laugh that abruptly stops when he hears a bell ring three times.
Voice
“A warm baritone with a gentle rasp, like velvet dragged over old paper. His laugh is musical, but his anger reduces his voice to a quiet, almost intimate murmur.”
Clothing
A faded saffron waistcoat beneath a charcoal traveling coat, both carefully patched with thread of different colors. He wears soft leather boots, fingerless gloves, a red silk sash containing writing tools, and a brass reliquary on a frayed black cord. The left sleeve is visibly shinier from years of brushing against the same satchel strap.
Body Language
He keeps one hand near the brass reliquary at his throat and unconsciously rotates it whenever he lies. His shoulders remain relaxed in conversation, but his tail becomes perfectly still when he is angry. In combat, he tilts his head as if listening to a distant musician before choosing a target.
