Appearance
Tupan is a broad-shouldered human man with the compact, durable build of someone who has spent years bracing doors and carrying injured people downhill. He moves slowly until he does not, then crosses a room with startling economy, never wasting a turn of the heel. His face is open and calm, but his eyes constantly travel to exits, hands, balconies, and unattended children rather than resting on whoever is speaking. He wears his battered guard coat one size too large, cinched with a red woven sash that has been darned so carefully the repairs look like deliberate geometric embroidery. The unexpected contradiction is his immaculate hands: his nails are clean, his knuckles oiled, and he carries himself like a meticulous clerk despite looking built for breaking barricades.
“Low, measured, and unhurried. He pronounces names carefully and gives every instruction the weight of a promise.”

Distinguishing Features
His gaze maps the room instead of meeting faces for long.
His guard coat is deliberately oversized, while his red sash is maintained with extraordinary care.
A tiny brass bell is sewn beneath his collar and only rings when he moves sharply.
He carries a smooth river stone in his mouth during tense negotiations, removing it only when he has made a decision.
Voice
“A low baritone with a dry rasp at the edges, like a handbell heard through rain”
Clothing
A faded blue-gray town guard coat beneath a patched leather cuirass, loose wool trousers, mud-stained boots, a red woven sash, and a narrow brass bell hidden under the collar. His shield is wrapped in clean cloth when not in use.
Body Language
He keeps one thumb hooked beneath his belt and angles his shield hand toward the nearest vulnerable person. During deception, he becomes perfectly still except for the slow rubbing of his left thumb over the brass button at his throat.
