Szelka is a bronze-skinned young woman with a long, intelligent face, dark freckles scattered across her nose and upper cheeks, and bright amber eyes flecked with gold. Her brown hair carries subtle bronze highlights and is gathered into a thick side braid threaded with coral beads. Sleepless wisps cling to her temples, but her posture remains composed and courtly. She moves with the careful economy of someone accustomed to crowded carriages and guarded halls, never wasting a step. Her smile reveals one slightly pointed canine and a row of small, unusually square teeth, giving her gracious expression an unexpectedly foxlike edge.
