Species

Appearance
A young human swordswoman standing unnaturally still in the middle of a deserted town square, as though the surrounding silence belongs to her. Her movements are economical and nearly noiseless, with the careful balance of someone accustomed to slick pavement and narrow bridges. She wears vivid vermilion and peacock blue against the square's cold gray stone, yet her elegance is undercut by practical repairs: one sleeve has been darned with green thread, the hem of her coat is slightly too long, and her left glove is far more carefully maintained than the rest of her clothing. She smells faintly of wet wool, crushed mint, and iron coins, a scent she does not seem to notice. Strange papers cling to her boots and collect around the dry fountain. Her expression is composed, but she watches every window as if expecting the buildings themselves to answer her.
“Her voice is low, clear, and carefully paced, with a faint mountain cadence. She pronounces names exactly as given and pauses before answering questions that matter.”

Distinguishing Features
A faint, persistent scent of wet wool, crushed mint, and iron coins.
A silver thread looped around her left little finger, tied there by her missing brother.
She stands with one boot half a fraction ahead of the other, as if permanently prepared to step onto slick stone.
Her immaculate left glove contrasts with the ink-stained right glove.
She carries herself like a court duelist but repairs her own clothes with visibly uneven stitching.
Voice
“A restrained alto with a dry mountain lilt, soft enough that listeners must lean closer, yet firm enough to quiet a room when she chooses.”
Clothing
A vivid vermilion riding coat over a peacock-blue waistcoat, charcoal trousers tucked into weather-dark boots, and a pale scarf embroidered with tiny silver knots. The coat is well cut but repeatedly repaired with mismatched thread. Her belt carries a narrow saber, three folded maps, a brass seal press, and a pouch of bitter-smelling fountain salt. Her left glove is spotless and lovingly conditioned, while the right is stained with ink.
Body Language
She keeps her shoulders relaxed and her chin level, but her left thumb continually checks the seam of her glove. When listening, she tilts her head toward the speaker while keeping her eyes on nearby doors. In combat, she appears almost courteous, stepping aside rather than back and giving a slight bow after a successful parry.
