Bard, College of Swords
Nimueko Vaelori
Species
Half-Elf
Appearance
Nimueko Vaelori moves as though every floor were a stage, even when crossing a muddy alley. She is a young half-elf with long limbs, a narrow waist, and compact dancer's strength, usually resting her weight on the balls of her feet as if ready to spin away. Her carefully groomed hair falls in thick black-brown waves threaded with tiny brass bells, but one side is always deliberately mussed, giving her an oddly windswept appearance indoors. Her hands are exceptionally expressive, with lacquered nails painted in alternating pearl and wine-red stripes. She smiles readily, yet her eyes remain watchful and calculating. The unexpected contradiction is her voice and manner: despite her dazzling costumes and theatrical movements, she has the quiet, practical bearing of someone accustomed to repairing roofs, counting coins, and carrying heavy crates at dawn.
“Her speech is musical but never sing-song, with clipped consonants when she is serious and elongated vowels when she is performing. She frequently pauses half a beat before important words, as though giving an invisible audience time to lean closer.”

Distinguishing Features
Brass bells are woven into her hair, but they never make noise unless she deliberately moves her head.
Her left palm bears a tiny inked diagram of the Moon-Cup Pavilion's cellar passages.
She always wears one glove embroidered with a white heron and keeps the other hand bare.
When she stands still, she balances on one foot for several heartbeats without seeming to notice.
Her smile is generous, but her gaze immediately catalogs every weapon in the room.
Voice
“A low, warm contralto with a lightly rasping edge, like silk dragged across polished wood. When angry, she becomes quieter rather than louder.”
Clothing
A sleeveless plum-and-copper dancer's coat over fitted charcoal trousers, soft boots, a layered sash of gauze ribbons, fingerless gloves, and a half-cape covered in tiny stitched constellations. Her costume is elegant enough for a palace but reinforced at the seams for combat.
Body Language
She keeps her shoulders loose and her weight forward, often tracing small circles with one heel. When lying, she becomes unnaturally still except for her fingers, which tap silent rhythms against her thigh.
