Kshor Vrak
Clerk-Infiltrator
Kshor Vrak
Species
Hobgoblin
Appearance
Kshor Vrak is a compact, sharp-featured hobgoblin with the unnerving stillness of a man who has already read the final page. His rust-red skin is powdered at the temples with gray ash from years of handling furnace-warm records. His black hair is clipped close except for a narrow braided queue behind his left ear, threaded with three brass filing pins. He moves with economical precision, never wasting a gesture, yet his hands are almost always busy: checking the seal on his ledger, smoothing one particular corner of its cover, or aligning nearby objects with the edge of a table. His most noticeable contradiction is his immaculate posture paired with visibly ink-stained knuckles and a soft, almost domestic fondness for brightly colored ribbon bookmarks.
“Measured and quiet, with precise diction and pauses that make ordinary questions feel like sworn testimony. He rarely raises his voice.”

Distinguishing Features
A brass ledger clasp polished bright by his thumb, while the rest of the clasp is dark with age.
Three brass filing pins woven into the narrow braid behind his left ear.
Bright ribbon bookmarks in improbable colors, including lavender, lemon yellow, and nursery pink.
Ink-stained knuckles despite otherwise immaculate clothing.
He pauses to straighten crooked papers, cups, weapons, or furniture whenever he passes them.
Voice
“Low, dry, and carefully modulated, with the faint rasp of paper dragged across a rough desk. He sounds most dangerous when being polite.”
Clothing
A charcoal clerk's coat with red piping, reinforced cuffs, and dozens of hidden interior pockets. He wears a high-collared cream shirt, fitted dark trousers, polished work boots, and a narrow copper chain bearing the Crown and Cinder seal. His gloves are usually tucked into his belt rather than worn, leaving his ink-marked hands visible.
Body Language
Kshor stands squarely, keeps his chin slightly lowered, and watches hands more than faces. He checks the worn lower-right corner of his ledger whenever someone lies. In danger, he becomes nearly motionless except for one thumb rubbing the brass clasp. When genuinely pleased, he straightens someone else's papers without asking.
