Half-Dragon, Gold Draconic Ancestry
Appearance
Drakon Cinder-Vane is a broad, burnished-gold half-dragon whose scales have been dulled by a permanent veil of grey coal-soot. The soot gathers most heavily in the fine ridges beneath his jaw and along the backs of his hands, where scrubbing has polished the scales to a darker brass. He moves with an unnerving economy, placing each foot as carefully as cargo on a rolling deck, then suddenly crossing a room in three long strides when a shipment goes astray. A brass-bound clipboard is always tucked beneath his left arm, its lower corner worn smooth by years of being pressed against his breastplate. His presence suggests a ceremonial officer until he turns his head and the furnace-gold membranes of his throat flex before he speaks. The contradiction is immediate: his armor is immaculate, yet he smells faintly of hot iron, lamp oil, and harbor ash.
“His voice is a low, resonant baritone with the dry scrape of metal dragged across stone. He pauses between clauses as if checking figures in his head, and his final words often carry the weight of an order even when he is making a request.”

Distinguishing Features
A brass-bound clipboard with one lower corner worn completely smooth from constant pressure against his armor.
The soot beneath his jaw never fully washes away, no matter how carefully he cleans himself.
His left horn is fitted with a tiny engraved brass ring used as a seal marker by the harbor office.
He walks with a measured, deckwise precision, but accelerates without warning when something violates his order of operations.
Voice
“A low, resonant baritone with a controlled metallic rasp, like a furnace door closing in the distance”
Clothing
High-caste naval plate mail of blackened steel edged in gold, worn beneath a weatherproof oilskin cloak clasped with a six-rayed harbor seal. His belt carries sealing wax, chalk, spare quills, a ring of numbered cargo keys, and a compact brass whistle used to direct crane crews.
Body Language
Drakon stands squarely with his weight balanced over both feet, his clipboard pinned beneath his left arm and his right hand resting near the halberd's haft. When listening, he angles one horn toward the speaker while his eyes track every movement in the room. Under stress, one claw taps a precise three-count against his breastplate.
