Ilyra the Silver-Flamed
Emberwing Bloodline
Ilyra the Silver-Flamed
Species
Human, Ember-touched
Appearance
Ilyra looks like a woman carved from warm bronze and then lightly dusted with moonlit ash. Her movements are deceptively quiet, with the balanced poise of a dancer walking across a roof, yet every sudden gesture leaves a brief silver afterimage in the air. Her hair falls in uneven locks that resemble cooled fireglass, dark at the roots and brightening to pale metallic flame at the tips. Fine, ember-red cracks run from her collarbones toward her shoulders, glowing whenever she is angry, frightened, or using her bloodline. Her smile is crooked and unexpectedly gentle, while her hands are callused, smoke-stained, and scarred from years of handling weapons and forge tools. The most unsettling contradiction is her shadow, which sometimes shows enormous burning wings even when she stands perfectly still and wingless.
“Her voice is low, dry, and intimate, with a faint crackle beneath certain words. She speaks slowly when giving instructions and rapidly when improvising a lie.”

Distinguishing Features
Silver fire briefly leaks from her nostrils when she laughs too hard.
A pale scar circles her throat like a necklace made by a blade.
Her shadow sometimes displays vast burning wings.
Her left palm bears the blackened outline of a crown split in two.
She smells faintly of rain on hot stone, even after washing.
Voice
“A smoky alto with a dry warmth, like a campfire speaking from beneath wet logs. In moments of bloodline flare, a second voice echoes half a heartbeat behind her.”
Clothing
She wears a soot-black travel coat lined with faded red wool, a sleeveless leather jerkin reinforced with overlapping copper scales, ash-gray trousers, and high boots wrapped in red cord. A strip of scorched white cloth is tied around her left wrist, taken from the banner of Varkhaz's fallen temple. Her belt carries both a soldier's sword and a small blacksmith's hammer.
Body Language
Ilyra keeps her shoulders relaxed and her hands visible, but her weight always rests on the balls of her feet. When listening, she tilts her head as if judging a flame's direction. Her fingers drum against her thumb when she is lying, and the silver cracks beneath her skin brighten when she is close to losing control.
