Appearance
Sheshi Tupa is a young gnome woman with unusually human proportions, a long torso, narrow shoulders, and limbs that make her seem almost like a very small traveler from a human highland village. Her tan face is open and sun-warmed, dominated by a broad, slightly flattened nose and a bright smile that arrives before her introductions do. Her eyes are enormous and dark hazel, with tiny gold flecks that flash whenever she notices something new. Her rainbow-colored hair bursts outward in jagged layers of vermilion, saffron, green, blue, and violet, as though every idea in her head has escaped through her scalp. She moves upright and briskly, favoring her left foot with a soft rocking step learned from years of walking mountain paths, but she can become perfectly still when listening. She smells faintly of crushed mint, wool, and rain-damp stone. The unexpected contradiction is that her exuberant hair and smile suggest carelessness, while every button, thread, and fold on her person is deliberately arranged according to a private system of symbolic meanings.
