Monolith-Four
Species
Tectonic Forged, Star-Sand Calibrated
Appearance
Monolith-Four is assembled from dense basalt blocks fitted so closely that the seams resemble dark stitching beneath the skin of a giant statue. Thick copper hoops bind his shoulders, ribs, and knees, greened by salt and polished bright where countless hands have checked them. Behind a heavy glass chest plate, an azure Star-Sand core pulses with the slow rhythm of a lighthouse. His movements are careful rather than slow, each step placed with the precision of a man who knows exactly how much force a pier can bear. Sea spray leaves a fine white crust along his joints, while furnace warmth from within gives the stone around his throat a faint, living heat. The unexpected thing is his delicate touch. He can set a cracked teacup on a table without rattling it, even though the same hands can haul a cargo cage through a storm.
“His voice is a deep, resonant baritone with a faint metallic undertone, like words spoken through a long stone pipe. He speaks slowly but not hesitantly, placing each sentence with deliberate weight.”

Distinguishing Features
An azure Star-Sand core pulses behind thick chest glass, brightening in response to strong emotion.
Salt crystals gather in the seams around his ankles and shoulders after he has worked near the sea.
His copper hoops are engraved with tiny tally marks recording storms survived, not enemies defeated.
He constantly checks the copper hoop around his left wrist with his thumb.
When he walks across metal decking, his footfalls produce a deep, regular tone like a distant bell.
Voice
“Low, steady, and resonant, with the measured cadence of a harbor bell beneath winter surf.”
Clothing
A weather-darkened work harness crosses his chest around the glass core, with red rope, signal flags, cargo hooks, and a brass tide gauge secured to it. He wears a sleeveless slate-blue dock coat, heavy leather apron panels, iron-soled climbing sandals, and a battered red scarf tied around his neck by Nessa Vale.
Body Language
He stands with his weight distributed like a braced pier, feet angled against imagined pressure. His head turns in small measured increments, and one thumb repeatedly checks the copper hoop around his left wrist. When angry, he becomes almost perfectly still, while the azure glow behind his chest glass brightens.
