Nya umi
Unchained Monk 3, Sorcerer 2, Brazen Disciple
Nya umi
Species
Celestial Kitsune
Appearance
Nya umi is a slight young kitsune with a dancer's balance and a jeweler's unnervingly steady hands. Her fur is mostly pale honey-gold, but rust-red markings gather around her wrists, ankles, ears, and the ends of her three full tails as though someone brushed her with a dry flame. Her muzzle is narrow, her lower canines are visibly long, and she smiles with a flash of small, sharp teeth that makes her kindness look momentarily predatory. She moves in quick, looping half-steps, never quite standing where observers expect. Her contradictory feature is her immense fox form: when transformed, she becomes broad-shouldered and nearly the size of a pony, yet still moves with the delicate care of someone carrying a bowl filled to the brim. She leaves behind the impression of warmth, motion, and a fire that is choosing not to burn anything.
“Her voice is bright and low for her age, with a soft mountain lilt and occasional clipped consonants. Before difficult answers she takes a small breath through her teeth, producing a faint whistle.”

Distinguishing Features
Three unusually full tails with gold fur and red flame-like tips.
A warm smile that reveals prominent lower canines.
Her ears swivel independently when she is trying to appear calm.
Her humanoid form always retains faint foxlike whisker marks across the cheeks.
She wears a thumb ring made from a cracked blue bead that cannot be removed without cutting it.
Voice
“Warm, quick, and unexpectedly resonant, with a soft Caucasus-like lilt beneath a Tian cadence. Her words often arrive after a deliberate breath, as though she is selecting not only what to say but which version of herself should say it.”
Clothing
She wears light green trousers tucked into cream leg warmers, a long-sleeved quilted shirt embroidered with red-orange foxes and curling flames, and a short jeweler's apron stained with polishing compound. In humanoid form, three long strips of golden-red fabric trail from her belt like ceremonial tails. They are weighted at the ends with tiny bells, though she has removed two of the bells so she can move quietly.
Body Language
Her three tails rarely lie still. They fold around her when she is listening, fan outward when she is angry, and twitch in separate rhythms when she is hiding something. Before speaking, she pauses, draws a quiet breath through her nose, and tilts her head as if weighing the sound of the other person's heartbeat.
