Bator Kveshi
Species
Half-Orc
Appearance
Bator Kveshi is a massive half-orc whose presence feels less like a warrior entering a room and more like a door being shut against winter. He is broad through the ribs, thick-wristed, and heavily built without looking soft, with the compressed density of a man who has spent a century carrying injured people out of bad places. His skin is olive-gray with a faint iron sheen across the shoulders. Within a minute of meeting him, people notice his breathing: slow, deliberate, and almost silent until he is angry, when every inhalation catches high in his chest like a bellows taking sparks. His lower tusks are worn flat from decades of biting leather straps, and when he laughs, his jaw opens with a small click before the sound comes out. He moves carefully, almost tenderly, despite being strong enough to bend iron bars. The contradiction is that his enormous hands are stained with medicinal dyes and usually occupied with delicate work such as threading needles or repairing a child's toy.
“Low, plain, and carefully paced. His Common carries clipped mountain consonants and occasional Georgian-flavored cadences.”

Distinguishing Features
His breathing is nearly inaudible when calm but becomes a resonant, catching rasp when angered.
His lower tusks are visibly flattened, and his jaw clicks once before he laughs.
A faint red-gold pulse can sometimes be seen beneath the skin of his throat and wrists.
His hands are unusually gentle for their size, with fingertips permanently darkened by medicinal tinctures.
He smells of iron, crushed juniper, wool smoke, and clean rain.
Voice
“A deep baritone with a dry rasp and a faint mountain accent. When calm, it is almost soothing. When enraged, the voice becomes quieter while his breathing grows loud enough to hear across a room.”
Clothing
A sleeveless charcoal wool coat over layered linen wraps, a red sash sewn with tiny protective knots, reinforced riding trousers, and broad leather boots packed with mountain felt. His half-plate armor is dull gray and repaired with mismatched brass rivets. He wears no polished trophies.
Body Language
He keeps one palm open and one hand near his sternum, as though constantly measuring the rhythm beneath his ribs. When listening, he leans forward without blinking. When rattled, his shoulders rise, his breaths become audible, and the fingers of his left hand tap out a steady pulse against his thigh.
