Nadzhira Kresk
Wizard
Nadzhira Kresk
Species
Tiefling
Appearance
Nadzhira is a narrow-shouldered tiefling who seems to occupy more room than her slight frame should allow. She moves with a deliberate, prowling quiet, then suddenly unfolds into sharp gestures when a spell catches her interest. Her face is heart-shaped and heavily adorned with tiny silver piercings along both brows, her lower lip, the bridge of her nose, and the ridges of her horns. Her horns are polished black at the tips but left rough and ridged near the roots, as though she cannot decide whether she wants them displayed or hidden. She looks like a young necromancer at first glance, yet she keeps immaculate nails, mends every tear in her clothes by hand, and smells faintly of rose soap and hot metal. The contradiction is unsettling: her wardrobe suggests a mourner, but her eyes and restless hands belong to someone intensely alive.
“Her voice is low, clear, and carefully controlled, with a faint rasp from years of inhaling candle smoke. She speaks quickly when discussing magic and slowly when discussing death.”

Distinguishing Features
Fourteen small silver piercings arranged like a constellation across her face, ears, and lower lip
Black horns with rough natural ridges near the skull and mirror-polished tips
A thin tail wrapped twice around her thigh when she is anxious
White thread stitched through the seams of her coat in repeating funeral-knot patterns
A habit of smiling brightly at exactly the wrong moments
Her shadow occasionally moves a heartbeat after she does
Voice
“A husky contralto with precise diction, quiet menace, and an unexpectedly warm laugh that arrives suddenly and disappears just as fast.”
Clothing
A fitted black velvet coat with a high collar, plum lining, silver coffin-shaped clasps, and sleeves reinforced with hidden leather panels. Beneath it she wears a ribbed gray shirt, a narrow leather corset, patched trousers, and pointed ankle boots. Her gloves are fingerless and stitched with white thread in the shapes of tiny bones. A battered mourning veil is tied around her waist instead of her head, and several chains hang from her belt carrying spell components, keys, and small sealed envelopes.
Body Language
Nadzhira stands at an angle rather than facing people directly, as if making room for an invisible companion beside her. Her fingers constantly touch the rings in her horns or count the piercings along her lip. She leans too close when listening, but retreats several inches whenever someone tries to comfort her. In combat, she becomes unnaturally still between spells, with her cloak hanging like a curtain around a stage performer waiting for the next cue.
