Kett Garet
Warlock 6, Pact of the Chain, custom patron called the Auditor Below
Kett Garet
Species
Human
Appearance
Kett looks less like a triumphant warlord than a tired village headman who has wandered into a nightmare and decided to organize it. He moves with careful economy, placing each boot as if the ground might object. Before speaking, he draws a small breath through his teeth, pauses, and clears his throat with a dry click. His hands are broad and work-worn, but he keeps one thumb pressed against his palm whenever anyone mentions children or winter. The unexpected contradiction is his gentleness with fragile things: he handles moths, cracked cups, and frightened animals with exquisite care, even while ordering executions without raising his voice.
“He speaks in a measured, low register with careful pauses. His words are plain and rural, but his metaphors are precise.”

Distinguishing Features
His first breath before speaking is audible, a narrow hiss through clenched teeth followed by a dry throat click.
He has a thin line of white stitching tattooed around his left wrist, one mark for every settlement that has joined the Red Ledger willingly.
His coat smells faintly of beeswax, wet leather, and bitter herbs.
He carries a child's red mitten tucked inside his breast pocket and unconsciously checks that it is still there.
When startled, his voice becomes unexpectedly soft and his sentences grow perfectly formal.
Voice
“A low, dry baritone with a faint rasp. Before each sentence comes a narrow intake of breath and a small click in his throat. His voice becomes warmer when addressing the frightened and almost toneless when issuing an order to kill.”
Clothing
A dark russet coat reinforced with hidden leather panels, a patched gray scarf, mud-stained riding boots, and a belt hung with stamped brass tokens taken from wealthy victims. His clothing is practical but meticulously mended, with every tear repaired in contrasting red thread.
Body Language
Kett stands slightly angled toward the nearest exit, never squarely facing a person unless making a vow. He touches his sternum when invoking the cult's doctrine, taps two fingers against his wrist when counting risks, and lowers his chin when angry. His breathing becomes shallow and audible when someone challenges his authority.
