Veyrul Sunscale
Bard
Veyrul Sunscale
Species
Dragonborn
Appearance
Veyrul is a tall bronze dragonborn who moves with the careful grace of a performer trying not to look rehearsed. His scales are dark brass at a distance, but up close they reveal green-blue flashes like patina on an old temple bell. A pale scar cuts through one eyebrow ridge and disappears under the jawline, while the tip of his tail is wrapped in red cloth to quiet its constant, impatient tapping. He wears travel-worn charm bracelets, carries himself like a cheerful drifter, and yet his polished boots are always immaculate, as if he refuses to let the road claim every part of him.
“Measured and melodic, with a habit of turning important words into quiet cadences. He speaks softly when angry, sings when nervous, and never wastes a sentence if a well-placed pause will say more.”

Distinguishing Features
A lightning-shaped scar across his left cheek.
A row of tiny brass rings set into the ridge behind each horn.
One boot heel is slightly higher than the other from a hidden compartment.
His tail is wrapped in red cloth to silence nervous tapping.
He carries a cracked lyre with one repaired string made of silver wire.
Voice
“Rich baritone with a faint rasp on the edges, like a trumpet played in the rain.”
Clothing
A patched indigo traveler’s coat with silver thread at the cuffs, a sun-faded scarf that doubles as a bandage, reinforced boots, fingerless gloves, and a rain cape lined with little brass bells that have been muted with wax.
Body Language
His shoulders stay loose, but his neck stiffens whenever he is hiding anger. He gestures with two fingers like he is keeping time for an invisible song, and he tends to lean in just a little too close when he wants someone to feel chosen.
