Malakor Vael
Species
Brass Dragonborn
Appearance
Malakor is a tall brass dragonborn whose fine, tightly overlapping scales have weathered into a dull oxidized bronze, like ceremonial metal left for decades in salt air. His long horns sweep backward from his skull and are bound together near their tips with delicate silver wire, making his silhouette resemble a sealed reliquary. His deep-set amber eyes rarely blink. He moves with unnerving economy, gliding rather than walking, and always leaves exactly one pace of empty space between himself and the nearest person. Within a minute of meeting him, most people notice that he unconsciously counts that distance with the fingers of his left hand. The contradiction is striking: despite his severe, ascetic bearing, his broad dragonborn muzzle often carries the soft, almost grandmotherly expression of someone about to offer tea.
“Measured, sonorous, and softly resonant, with every sentence shaped like a line from a sacred legal text. He pauses after questions as though giving the universe time to answer.”

Distinguishing Features
Long horns bound together near the tips with fine silver wire
Unblinking amber eyes and an almost motionless expression
A blue ritual censor that emits a thin, winding trail of mildly soporific incense
A habit of measuring personal space by tapping two fingers against his left palm
A faint metallic chime follows his movements because legal seals are sewn into his vestment hem
Voice
“A low, polished baritone with a faint furnace-like rasp beneath it. His voice becomes warmer when delivering threats and colder when offering comfort.”
Clothing
A high-collared midnight-black velvet vestment hangs over polished silver chainmail. A slate-gray silk hood rests low over his crest, and silver prayer seals are stitched into the hem. His gloves are dark blue leather, each fingertip marked with a tiny legal sigil.
Body Language
Malakor stands very still, with his hands folded around the censor chain. He angles his body so that every exit remains visible, and he subtly adjusts the distance between himself and others whenever they move. When surprised, he smooths the left cuff of his velvet vestment three times.
