Vespera Cleth
Wizard 15, Divination and Chronurgy; Rogue 3, Mastermind
Vespera Cleth
Species
Brass Dragonborn
Appearance
Vespera is an elderly brass dragonborn woman with pale scales the warm, dry hue of old parchment, each scale fine enough to resemble pressed paper when seen up close. Her sharp amber eyes rarely settle on a speaker's face. Instead, they travel to doorways, witnesses, writing hands, and unattended objects, as though every room were already being cataloged for evidence. Long silver-threaded horns are braided flat against her crest with narrow brass wire. She moves with the careful economy of someone crossing a library floor covered in sleeping glass, yet her sudden gestures are startlingly quick. Her presence suggests dustless vaults, hot metal, and absolute order. The unexpected contradiction is that her hands are soft and beautifully manicured, while the rest of her body bears the faint dryness and heat-cracking of a lifetime spent among brass mechanisms, desert records, and sealed furnace rooms.
“Quiet, precise, and measured, with the faint rasp of turning old pages. She pronounces names and dates flawlessly, rarely uses contractions, and becomes more formal as her anger rises.”

Distinguishing Features
Silver-threaded horns braided flat against her crest with brass wire.
Delicate bronze spectacles engraved with tiny calendar wheels.
A razor-sharp bone stylus tucked behind one ear.
Fingertips stained faintly gold from archival sealing wax and chronal ink.
A habit of looking at the room's witnesses and exits before looking at the person addressing her.
Voice
“A low, papery contralto with the warmth of banked coals and the authority of someone reading a verdict already decided.”
Clothing
A tailored, high-collared robe of deep ochre silk trimmed with dark brass thread, layered over a sleeveless archival coat with dozens of hidden pockets. Her gloves are thin parchment-colored leather, and a cluster of heavy archive keys hangs at her waist beside a sealed brass docket tube.
Body Language
Vespera keeps her spine perfectly straight and her hands folded over the head of her bone stylus. During negotiations, she angles her body toward exits and witnesses rather than toward the person speaking. When surprised, only one horn braid shifts as she turns her head. When she has decided to act, she closes her spectacles and removes them from her face.
