Nadir Haddan
Fighter
Nadir Haddan
Species
Human
Appearance
Nadir is a broad-shouldered human man with the compact, weathered strength of someone who has spent years sleeping in armor and hauling wounded soldiers from ditches. His movements are economical but never stiff. He turns his whole body before speaking to someone, as though granting them the courtesy of his full attention. His face is sun-browned and deeply lined around the mouth, yet his hands are unexpectedly delicate, with neatly trimmed nails and the careful touch of a bookkeeper. A pale scar crosses his lower lip, giving his resting expression the look of a reluctant smile. He smells faintly of cedar oil, iron, and bitter orange peel. The contradictory impression he leaves is that of a dangerous man who seems safest when quietly mending a torn cloak.
“Low, calm, and carefully paced. Nadir speaks as though every sentence should remain useful after the speaker is gone.”

Distinguishing Features
A pale scar splitting his lower lip and tugging one corner of his mouth upward.
A signet ring made from melted battlefield buckles, engraved inside with the names of twelve dead Wardens.
A narrow gray tattoo around his right wrist, the traditional mark of a Warden who has sworn never to abandon a civilian.
His left knee clicks audibly when he kneels, though he refuses to admit it hurts.
Voice
“A warm baritone gone slightly rough from years of smoke, cold air, and shouted commands. He can make a crowded room fall silent without raising his volume.”
Clothing
A charcoal-gray brigandine coat reinforced with overlapping metal plates, a weather-faded blue scarf, high leather boots, and a sleeveless traveling mantle pinned with a plain iron clasp. He wears no polished heraldry, only a strip of gray cloth sewn inside his left cuff.
Body Language
He keeps his hands visible and relaxed when speaking, but his left thumb constantly rubs the worn edge of his signet ring. In combat, he lowers his chin and becomes almost unnervingly still between strikes.
