Appearance
Korus Freetown is a towering man whose armor makes him seem even larger, a broad-shouldered mass of green-tinted steel, brown beard, and deliberate stillness. His long beard is thick and carefully combed, but several narrow braids are tied with plain copper wire rather than noble ornaments. His face is weathered, square, and unexpectedly gentle around the mouth. He stands with his weight slightly forward, as though every room were a slope toward battle, yet he moves with quiet precision and never clatters despite the weight of his armor. People notice first that he occupies more space than he seems aware of, forcing servants and officers to unconsciously give him a wider path. The contradiction is his hands: huge, scarred, and built for a two-handed axe, but usually occupied with delicate work such as repairing children's toys, trimming herbs, or folding letters into exact squares.
“Low, measured, and unmistakably authoritative. Korus rarely raises his voice.”

Distinguishing Features
A beard braided with plain copper wire in seven narrow sections, one for each campaign that ended without a formal victory.
A small green enamel gate pinned inside his cloak, visible only when the cloak shifts.
His armor is unusually quiet because every buckle and hinge has been wrapped in waxed thread by his personal armorer.
He carries a child-sized wooden horse in an inner pocket and touches it before making an irreversible decision.
He takes up so much physical space that people often step aside before realizing they have done so.
Voice
“A deep baritone with a dry rasp, like gravel shifted under a boot. He speaks gently to frightened people and with crisp finality to officers. In battle, his commands are not shouted so much as placed in the air with absolute confidence.”
Clothing
Elite steel plate inspired by late medieval German harness, darkened at the joints and washed with subtle green undertones. The breastplate bears the Freetown gate emblem, while the shoulder guards are deliberately plain. Beneath the armor he wears a deep green surcoat, heavy wool trousers, and soft riding boots for camp life. His cloak is brown on the outside and lined with faded yellow cloth taken from his brother's standard.
Body Language
Korus keeps his shoulders square and his chin slightly lowered, making eye contact from beneath heavy brows. In conversation he plants his axe beside him and rests one hand on its pommel, not as a threat but as a reminder that decisions have weight. When someone lies, he stops moving entirely. When someone speaks about the dead, he removes his gauntlets and places them palms-up on the table.
