Seshat Vashiri
Artificer, Armorer
Seshat Vashiri
Species
Warforged
Appearance
Seshat is a slender warforged built from dark walnut-colored wood, dull brass, and thin plates of smoky glass. Their joints are packed with pale blue ceramic rings that make a soft shushing sound whenever they move. Instead of a conventional face, they have a smooth mask with a narrow horizontal grille and three small amber lenses arranged like a constellation. Their hands are unusually delicate, each fingertip fitted with tiny measuring prongs and retractable engraving needles, the result of years spent repairing locks, instruments, and damaged memory cores. They move with careful, almost domestic gestures, as though tidying the air around them. The contradictory impression is that their body looks designed for military enforcement, but their presence initially feels like that of a quiet conservator handling fragile porcelain.
“Their voice is low, breathy, and slightly delayed, as though words pass through a chamber of dust before emerging. Sibilants linger softly, especially in names.”

Distinguishing Features
A soft intake of air through their face grille precedes nearly every sentence.
Their amber lenses briefly project tiny geometric symbols across nearby surfaces when they concentrate.
Their fingertips make a faint glass-on-ceramic ticking sound when they are nervous.
Their wooden chest plate bears dozens of shallow engraved tally marks, each representing someone they escorted safely through danger.
A narrow strip of living moss grows beneath the collar at the back of their neck, cultivated from a seed given by Bartholomew.
Voice
“A soft, sibilant contralto produced through a resonant grille, with a faint metallic hum beneath each word”
Clothing
A charcoal travel coat with a high collar, stitched in hidden pockets and lined with faded red military canvas. A broad leather tool belt sits over their arcane armor, and a blue-green scarf is wrapped around their neck despite their lack of need for warmth.
Body Language
Seshat tilts their head in small increments while listening, as though adjusting an internal compass. Their hands rarely rest, instead tracing invisible measurements over tables, doorframes, and weapon grips. When angered, every joint becomes perfectly still except for the faint movement of the amber lenses.
