His hands are unusually delicate for his size, with flattened black claws and fingertips permanently stained green from polishing brass, grinding herbs, and handling verdigris-covered relics. He moves with a careful, almost domestic precision, as if every doorway were a crowded kitchen. Within a minute of meeting him, most people notice that he constantly checks the small copper ring on his left thumb. The contradiction is that his armor is battered and battlefield-heavy, but he handles cups, children, and wounded strangers with astonishing gentleness.
