Mirela Tide-Crest
Fighter 12, Battle Master
Mirela Tide-Crest
Species
Aethelgard Half-Dragon, Bronze Draconic Ancestry
Appearance
Mirela is a broad-shouldered bronze half-dragon whose dark scales carry a permanent crust of salt along the neck, wrists, and jawline. Her scales gleam like weathered ship fittings beneath wet light, while fine pale lines of old brine crystallization gather between them. She moves with a measured, almost nautical economy, placing each foot as if testing a deck for weakness. Her expression is severe, but a faintly amused curl sometimes touches one side of her mouth when someone lies badly. The unexpected softness of her appearance comes from the small brass bells braided into her mantle cords, each one wrapped in wax so it makes no sound unless she chooses to uncover it.
“Low, dry, and measured, with each sentence landing like a hammer tap on a signal plate. She rarely raises her volume.”

Distinguishing Features
A brass acoustic ear-horn that she constantly rotates toward sounds, even in ordinary conversation.
Three wax-sealed brass bells braided into her mantle cord, each associated with a different emergency signal.
Salt crystals gather naturally along the ridges of her bronze scales, giving her neck and forearms a faintly frosted texture.
She stands unnervingly still while listening, then moves all at once with abrupt deckhand efficiency.
The iron head of her trident is etched with the names of every commander who held Lanternless Breakwater before her.
Voice
“A contralto rasp softened by long hours in sea fog, with a faint metallic resonance that seems to linger after she stops speaking.”
Clothing
Dark-iron scale mail worn beneath a long oilskin mantle, reinforced harbor boots, fingerless grip gloves, a belt of signal hammers, and a brass acoustic ear-horn secured by a leather cord. Her mantle is lined with dull red wool against the wet coastal cold.
Body Language
Mirela waits with one foot angled toward the nearest solid wall and most of her weight on the balls of her feet. Her brass ear-horn is always turned slightly toward the speaker, even when her face points elsewhere. She touches the trident's iron head before making a decision, as if taking its measure.
