Ossandra Vaikheli
Druid
Ossandra Vaikheli
Species
Elf
Appearance
Ossandra is tall and fine-boned, with the stillness of a standing birch and the wary balance of someone accustomed to crossing roots over deep water. Her skin has a muted olive tone dusted with tiny pale freckles across her shoulders, resembling lichen on slate. Long silver-brown hair hangs in heavy ropes, threaded with dried seedpods, copper wire, and one blue bead taken from a child's bracelet. Her hands are elegant but scarred, with dark soil permanently worked beneath the nails. She moves slowly when watched, then crosses a room with startling, silent speed when someone is in danger. Her face appears severe until she smiles, revealing a chipped front tooth and an unexpectedly mischievous warmth.
“Her speech is low, measured, and carefully paced, with rounded vowels and a faint northern cadence. She rarely raises her voice.”

Distinguishing Features
A pale scar runs from her left temple to the corner of her mouth, shaped like a branching root.
Her chipped front tooth shows whenever she laughs, which is rare but disarming.
A faint green glow pulses beneath the skin of her palms when leyline magic is nearby.
Moss grows briefly across the soles of her boots after she stands still for several minutes.
She carries a child's blue bracelet bead on a cord, despite claiming she dislikes sentimental objects.
Voice
“A low contralto with a dry, resonant warmth, like wind moving through hollow reeds. Her laugh is brief and unexpectedly bright. When she speaks the names of the dead, her voice becomes almost inaudible.”
Clothing
She wears layered moss-green robes beneath a sleeveless mantle of woven reed fiber and soft barkcloth. Small bronze rings fasten the mantle at her throat. Her boots are wrapped in treated root leather, and the hems of her garments are embroidered with nine interlocking root patterns. She carries no visible jewelry except the blue bead from the bracelet of a child she rescued during a border purge.
Body Language
Ossandra keeps her shoulders relaxed and her hands visible, projecting the calm of a priest at a bedside. When angered, she becomes almost motionless. A single finger may press into the grain of her staff, and tiny roots begin to curl through nearby cracks. She kneels to speak with children and wounded animals, but never lowers herself before nobles.
