Amara Sun-Echo
Species
Copper Dragonborn
Appearance
Amara is a tall, slender copper dragonborn whose smooth terracotta scales hold the dry warmth of sun-baked clay. She moves with an almost weightless economy, placing each foot as though the ground were a treaty that must not be disturbed. Her amber eyes remain steady even when surrounded by shouting ministers. Within a minute of meeting her, most people notice her teeth, broad and blunt at the front, with two small copper fangs that show whenever she smiles. She eats slowly, breaking dates and flatbread into exact pieces with delicate claws. Her unexpected contradiction is her physical softness: she looks austere and monumental from a distance, yet when amused she laughs silently first, shoulders shaking, before a low breathy chuckle finally escapes. When rattled, her breathing becomes audible through her nose, each measured inhale sounding like wind passing through a narrow canyon.
“Her voice is soft, warm, and low, with the rounded resonance of words spoken in a stone chamber. She never competes with noise.”

Distinguishing Features
Nine silver tuning pins cross her chest, each carrying a different historical resonance when struck.
Her blunt front teeth and small copper fangs are visible whenever she eats or laughs.
She speaks so softly that strangers instinctively lean closer, then realize the entire room has fallen silent to hear her.
Her scales are unusually matte, holding dust in their fine texture instead of reflecting the desert sun.
When frightened or furious, her controlled breathing becomes audible, like wind forced through a stone cleft.
Voice
“A quiet contralto with a warm canyon resonance, gentle enough to invite confidence and precise enough to make evasion feel impossible.”
Clothing
Unadorned robes of coarse desert wool in pale ochre and rust, layered for sudden night cold. Nine silver tuning pins cross her chest in a diagonal harness, each engraved with a fragment of an ancestral treaty. A narrow leather belt carries chalk, salt, wax tablets, and a bronze cup.
Body Language
Amara keeps her hands folded beneath her sleeves until someone lies, at which point one claw emerges and rests against the nearest hard surface. She tilts her head toward quiet voices, never making a speaker repeat themselves. When genuinely angry, she becomes perfectly still except for the slow flare of her nostrils.
