Marnak Veyra
Cleric 15, Hearth Domain custom subclass
Marnak Veyra
Species
Dragonborn
Appearance
Marnak is a broad-shouldered brass dragonborn woman whose heavily pregnant body moves with deliberate, mountain-steady balance. Her scales are dulled by years of mineral dust, with pale gold along her throat, elbows, and the ridges of her swollen belly. She goes unclothed by choice, considering fabric restrictive, but wears a braided belt of wool, copper charms, and carved bone tokens low around her hips. Her hide is warm and faintly gritty to the touch, like sun-heated stone. A line of tiny soot-dark scales runs from her sternum to her navel, darkening whenever her draconic magic gathers. She has a surprisingly gentle, almost shy way of lowering herself to sit, yet when she rises the cavern seems to make room for her. The unexpected impression is that her imposing body is accompanied by extraordinarily careful movements, as if she is always carrying a bowl filled to the brim.
“Low, deliberate, and textured by a dry rasp in the throat. She often inhales through her nose before speaking, as if weighing the air for danger.”

Distinguishing Features
Her lower scales are polished smooth by years of carrying children against her body, while the scales on her shoulders remain rough and dust-marked.
When she breathes deeply, a faint ember glow appears between the scales of her throat.
Tiny brass bells on her hip-belt never ring while she is walking, but chime once whenever someone nearby lies.
She smells faintly of warm stone, iron filings, and cinnamon bark.
Her tail curls protectively around nearby bowls, baskets, or sleeping children without her seeming to notice.
Voice
“A low contralto with a dry, smoky rasp, softened by patient pauses and the occasional deep purr of draconic resonance.”
Clothing
She wears no clothing, by personal and religious choice. A wide braided belt of wool, copper rings, bone tokens, and small protective bells hangs around her hips, while a long red-brown sash is kept nearby for wrapping newborns or covering herself when visiting settlements that require it.
Body Language
Marnak plants both feet widely and rests one hand beneath her belly when listening. She leans forward rather than looming over people, tilts her head toward distant sounds, and often touches the stone beside her instead of touching another person. When frightened, she becomes busier and begins sorting objects by size.
