Ibolya Aderoju
Fighter, Battle Master
Ibolya Aderoju
Species
Human
Appearance
Ibolya is a tall, weather-shaped woman whose presence feels more like a road marker than a soldier. Wind has roughened the skin of her hands and neck into fine, pale ridges, while years of rain have darkened the hems of her clothing and left a permanent reddish tint across the bridge of her nose. Her jaw is broad and strong, and when she laughs, which is rarer than people expect, she shows one slightly pointed canine and a row of small, square teeth worn smooth from chewing fennel seeds. She moves with economical forward momentum, never quite standing still, as if every conversation is happening between two destinations. The contradiction is that her battlefield posture is rigid and commanding, but at rest she folds herself into chairs like an exhausted schoolteacher, ankles tucked beneath her and hands hidden in her sleeves.
“Her voice is low, clear, and remarkably carrying, shaped by years of shouting across rivers and battlefields. She speaks in concise clauses, with occasional Hungarian and Yoruba cadence in her vowels.”

Distinguishing Features
Her hands are permanently roughened by wet reins, wax seals, and abrasive road dust.
She has a broad, expressive jaw and one slightly pointed canine visible whenever she smiles.
A faint copper stain circles her left thumb from years of handling signal flares.
She smells of rainproofing wax, bitter fennel, and woodsmoke.
She carries herself as though an unseen wind is always pushing against her shoulders.
Voice
“A contralto with a dry edge, steady as a drumbeat. It becomes almost tender when she speaks to animals or frightened children, then snaps into a hard carrying command when danger appears.”
Clothing
A rain-dark green military coat with a high collar, layered over a quilted ochre vest. Copper toggles mark old victories, while strips of faded blue cloth identify roads controlled by the Concord of Nine Roads. Her boots are reinforced for distance walking rather than cavalry use.
Body Language
She leans slightly forward while listening, as if receiving a message through strong wind. When angry, she becomes very still and folds her hands behind her back. When afraid, she smiles and begins sorting nearby objects into straight lines.
