Appearance
Sefu Kett is a broad-shouldered human with copper-brown skin, a square jaw, and a body built by hauling casks rather than training in barracks. He stands with one heel slightly raised and keeps most of his weight balanced on the balls of his feet, as if the floor might tilt beneath him. Within a minute of meeting him, people notice his breathing: slow, measured, and faintly whistling through his nose. When rattled, the whistle vanishes and his next breath comes through his teeth like a knife being sharpened. His voice is warm and resonant when welcoming guests, yet becomes startlingly quiet when he is angry. He moves with the careful economy of someone carrying a full tray through a crowded room, even when empty-handed. The unexpected contradiction is that his intimidating, barrel-chested presence is paired with extraordinarily delicate hands, capable of repairing a cracked glass without leaving a fingerprint on the shard.
“His ordinary voice is a low, rounded baritone with a faint harbor rasp. He pauses before names, as if weighing what each person has done before deciding how warmly to say it.”

Distinguishing Features
His nose whistles faintly during relaxed breathing, but the sound disappears when he is alarmed.
He places every mug handle at precisely the same angle before serving it.
His palms are unusually soft despite his strength, because he routinely oils them to protect the skin from hot glass and splintered wood.
He carries himself like a man expecting the floor to move, always poised on the balls of his feet.
Voice
“A low, warm baritone with a harbor rasp, usually accompanied by a faint nasal whistle that vanishes whenever he is alarmed.”
Clothing
A charcoal linen shirt with sleeves rolled to the elbows, a dark green waistcoat stained by years of spilled ale, reinforced trousers, and soft-soled dock shoes. He wears a faded red neckerchief beneath the collar and a leather apron lined with hidden pockets.
Body Language
Sefu waits with one heel raised and his hands resting lightly on the nearest solid surface. When calm, he leans toward people with open shoulders. When suspicious, he angles his body between them and the room without appearing to do so. When truly frightened, he becomes perfectly still and stops breathing through his nose.
