Ilyra Dawnwound
Lesser Deity
Ilyra Dawnwound
Species
Outsider
Appearance
Ilyra appears as a radiant, war-born woman with the poise of a dancer and the impatience of a storm. Her skin has the warm sheen of burnished copper under lamplight, but at the edges it fades into a faint celestial glow, as if her body remembers being made of dawn. Her hair is a cascade of blackened gold, chopped unevenly at the ends like it was cut in the dark after battle, and it moves as though underwater even when the air is still. Her eyes are mismatched, one amber and one pale silver, both ringed with tiny star-like flecks that brighten when she is amused or enraged. She is tall and rangy, built like a spear made flesh, with long limbs, quick hands, and the restless grace of someone who never stands still for long. She wears layered ceremonial armor over a torn, elegant battle-cape, half jeweled regalia and half practical war gear, which is an unexpected contradiction because she dresses like a monarch yet smells faintly of smoke, rain, and spilled wine. Her movements are abrupt and theatrical, as if every entrance is a challenge and every exit a dare.
“Rich, quick, and musical, with a habit of turning commands into invitations. She laughs mid-sentence when excited and softens her tone when speaking of the dead.”

Distinguishing Features
A thin scar across her throat that glows like a red seam when she is angered.
A halo that appears only in reflection, not directly.
A tarnished signet ring fused to one finger, believed to have belonged to Ser Jorin Vale.
Her shadow sometimes draws a sword a heartbeat before she does.
Voice
“Velvety, daring, and warm as a torch held too close to skin”
Clothing
Ceremonial half-plate of blackened gold, a torn crimson sash, silver bracers etched with battlefield prayers, and boots dusted with ash. Her mantle is lined with peacock feathers on the inside and scorched linen on the outside.
Body Language
She tilts forward when speaking, as if leaning into an invisible charge, and punctuates thoughts with sharp hand motions that resemble sword cuts. When pleased, she circles people like a hawk assessing a field. When angry, she smiles too broadly and goes very still.
